Helen Johnson

Dr Johnson is a breast surgeon with expertise in breastfeeding medicine. In her clinical practice and research, she focuses on oncolactation, pregnancy-related breast cancer, and postpartum breast cancer. She is passionate about promoting breastfeeding education for physicians and trainees, and is currently working with the American Society of Breast Surgeons to improve lactation education for surgeons. She is also a staunch advocate for equitable lactation accommodations and is the lead author on the Association of Women Surgeons’ comprehensive breastfeeding support policy.
